Ava's first two weeks

Dad, mom, and Ava- one week old

Ava is not a fan of bath time yet

And is defiantly a wiggle worm!

She loves her hands by her face and will often do funky things with her fingers

Week two is complete and life sure hasn't slowed down one bit! Visitors are still trickling in to meet Ava and we have gotten to spend lots of time with both of our families. Ava had her two week check up yesterday and is currently exactly 8lbs. She has gained 3 oz since her last visit but they were hoping for her to gain back all of her weight she had lost after birth. We go back in one week for another weight check and then we wont have to go back until Ava is two months old. The doctor said everything else was looking great and that Ava's coloring was much better then a week ago. Right now Ava is some what in a routine but she still calls the shots. We just follow her lead. She is eating every 1.5 to 3 hours. We were waking her up at night to feed every 3 hours when she was jaundice but now we let her sleep and she wakes us up about every 3.5 to 4 hours for night feedings. This weekend we had Ava's pictures taken by a college friend of Travis's. We have a few back which the photographer posted on facebook, but the rest we wont get for a couple of weeks yet. It was fun to watch her with Ava and I cant wait to see the entire final product. It will be fun getting to look back on pictures as she grows. I'm trying to enjoy every minute of this stage because I know it doesn't last long!
